“In exploring the shared language and poetic sensibilities of all animals, I am working towards rediscovering the common ground that once existed when people lived in harmony with animals. The images depict a world that is without beginning or end, here or there, past or present.”
—Gregory Colbert, Creator of Ashes and Snow
These photographs captivated me when I first saw them in 2002. They are the images of Canadian artist Gregory Colbert.
The exhibition is housed in the Nomadic Museum which moves to each of the exhibition sites and has been viewed by 10 million people, the most attended exhibition by any artist in history.
The Exhibition is an Installation of photographs and films. Each of the photographs is printed onto handmade Japanese paper using an Encaustic process.
