Snow, in Winter???

Everyone has been saying this is going to be a very cold winter. I must say it has been. Durban usually experiences winter round about the 28th/29th of July when we have to put on a jersey, and if it is really cold, maybe a scarf as well.

This year unlike our usual 2 days of winter we have had protracted cold spells causing us to don jerseys, jackets, boots, scarves, hats and……even gloves! And we have all retreated into our cold houses which are designed and decorated for our tropical weather, not Arctic blasts of frigid air!

These are a few photos of our favourite mountain retreat taken yesterday when the temperature was -4 at midday!Rather chilly, wish I was there it is so pretty.
