Friday Favourites.

When we look at art we often overlook Illustrators, this is a gross oversight as their work is just as exciting, innovative, creative and meaningful as all the other visual mediums.

Now because it is to be a light-hearted Friday and because I absolutely love the illustrative work done by Children’s Book Illustrators I am going to share just 2 of my favourites for now.

Tony Ross

The Portrait of Dorian Grey

From the Dr. Xargle series, one  the funniest, most cleverly illustrated children’s books I have read.

Illustrated envelope by Tony Ross.

and………….

David McKee

The Two Can Toucan

The delightfully funny King Rollo series

Illustrated Envelope by David McKee

I hope you enjoyed this tiny sample of wonderfully creative work by two extraordinarily talented illustrators who have not only created a vast collection their own, but also illustrate extensively for other authors.

Happy weekend…………………
