Cats Cradle

When they were little, one of my girl’s favourite poems was ‘Cats Sleep Anywhere’ by Eleanor Farjeon. It was a favourite because I love cats,  we had 5 cats, who did sleep anywhere and everywhere.

cats sleep anywhere, any table, any chair

top of piano, window-ledge, in the middle, on the edge

open drawer, in a shoe, anybody’s lap will do

fitted in a cardboard box, in a cupboard with your frocks

anywhere, they don’t care, cats sleep anywhere
